1. I apologize for stealing this idea from another blogger, I thought it was a good way to let people know something about me.
2. I live in Ireland, the north part.
3. It is a beautiful island, green and luscious and rainy.
4. I have a deep mistrust of men’s ability to stay faithful.
5. I am over 50 but not yet 60.
6. I got good genes from my mother and grandmother.
7. I brought up my 2 sons alone, going back to school to make a life for them.
8. I used to work in healthcare but now I am an administrator, although still in the medical field.
9. I have 1 sister (I had 2 but my youngest sister died when she was only 33) I love my sister to bits.
10. My partner is a kind considerate man who lives a plane ride away.
11. I have been seeing him for 10 years.
12. We met through work.
13. I love all sorts of books, from Jane Austen to James Patterson, I read voraciously.
14. I am a glass half full person, but I have suffered from bad bouts of depression.
15. I love wine, red or white, new world or old, probably too much.
16. I used to ride a Harley Davidson.
17. I can’t sing but I can dance ( I used to be a go-go dancer for a time during my early teens).
18. My #1 son is married to a lovely Scots girl.
19. My latest time stealers include my DS lite and my Wii Guitar Hero and Wii fit.
20. I wish I was more motivated to lose weight and get fitter.
21. My dad died and I felt that I had failed to look out for him, to really get to know him and that I had disappointed him when I was young.
22. I am beginning to be very forgetful and it worries me.
23. My #2 son has ankylosing spondylitis and that makes me very sad.
24. I have a mad cat – Henri- that we rescued and who now owns the house.
25. I love eating out at really good restaurants, and not so good ones.
26. TV favourites include – 24, Brothers and Sisters, Desperate Housewives, ER, CSI Las Vegas.
27. I still watch re-runs/ my dvds of Northern Exposure, Gilmore Girls and Frasier.
28. I am fascinated by Native American Tribes.
29. Travel is something I want to do more of.
30. I would like to become more proficient at photography.
31. My sister’s death rocked my mum’s world and she has never truly gotten over it.
32. I am frightened about getting older.
33. Music is important to my wellbeing, ranging from Steve Forbert to Otis Redding, from the hits of the 60’s to Eminem, some classical, a lot of AC/DC and everything in between.
34. Like a lot of other people I feel that I might have a book in me.
35. I HATE mushrooms.
36. I can cook quite well but don’t do it very often.
37. I am partial to a good beer especially with pizza or curry.
38. I don’t laugh as easily as I used to.
39. I always wanted a husky type dog.
40. Cross stitch, mosaic and painting have been a few of my hobbies.
41. I buy flowers for the house every week, I would have them in every room if I could afford it.
42. If I had a totem I think it would be a bear.
43. My mother is becoming very deaf and sometimes I find myself not wanting to have to talk to her and then I feel guilty because she has been a good mum.
44. My brother in law is a good man who is always willing to help out.
45. My life hasn’t turned out the way I’d hoped but then whose does?
46. I don’t enjoy sailing, unfortunately my partner loves it and keeps trying to get me involved.
47. My sponsored child is a Cambodian girl named Savenn.
48. I have had two other sponsored children but they have grown up and do not need my support any more which makes me feel I have contributed something to their lives.
49. Candles lit all over the house (safely) is my idea of calm and tranquillity.
50. I drive a Renault Megane diesel but if I move jobs I will get a sporty car.
51. My foreign language skills are not fluent but I can get by in Spanish, French, German, Italian and I have a few words in Czech and Greek.
52. The senseless violence which is rampant in our societies chills me to the core.
53. People say that as you get older you learn what clothes styles suit you – I haven’t!!
54. I like jigsaw puzzles.
55. Periodically I collect things, dragons, Native American bits and pieces, postcards, beanie babies, that sort of stuff and then I stop.
56. Cocktails are cool.
57. I was very ill after an operation when I was 34 and almost died.
58. My jewellery is silver or white gold or platinum (don’t have much of the latter unfortunately).
59. I am a lapsed catholic.
60. Johnny Depp is my favourite actor.
61. If I drink champagne it has to be pink.
62. 8 hours sleep makes me feel good.
63. I am menopausal.
64. That first cup of coffee is essential.
65. I’m so glad I never started smoking – one less thing to worry about.
66. I try to be polite and well mannered and I hope I have taught my sons to be the same.
67. My son’s in-laws are a great family.
68. Reality TV programmes leave me cold.
69. I play poker for fun sometimes, no big bets just pence.
70. Women who deliberately date married men disgust me.
71. Men who cheat on their wives but don’t want to leave them disgust me.
72. Give me chocolate, especially Swiss or Belgian or Hotel Chocolat.
73. My eyes are a funny grey blue with brown flecks.
74. I am sociable and out going but I like my own space and solitude at times.
75. The second cup of coffee is the best.
76. Italian food is fabulous especially if eaten in Italy.
77. I have had body issues for many years, I’m about 31 lbs overweight.
78. I went to a convent grammar school and had thought seriously about being a nun, but more in the Debbie Reynolds style or Mary Tyler Moore in the Elvis movie.
79. I believe in something spiritual, I’m just not sure what.
80. Sad that I am I am a member of Ben & Jerry’s club, my favourite flavour was Cherry Garcia but it seems to have disappeared, however Phish food or Baked Alaska will do.
81. My great-grandmother lived until she was 96, my paternal grandmother until 97 and my maternal until 84, they were all pretty healthy until the end too.
82. I don’t like confrontation, but I have got better at standing up for myself.
83. If I had money I’d have a back and neck massage every day.
84. I’ve only ever broken one bone, my ankle, so far.
85. I’m a Sagittarian and was born in the year of the snake.
86. I can’t walk in high heels.
87. I only wear make up on special occasions.
88. Shower in morning, bath at night.
89. Spicy foods have started to bite me back with awful heartburn.

91. Skype is great for staying in touch over a distance.

93. All my closest girlfriends have been divorced, or are divorcing, 2 have remarried and the rest are in long term relationships.
94. We were all single again at one time for about 1 year.
95. I can’t paint a wall without getting it all over me no matter how careful I am.
96. My hair was very dark brown with red tints now it’s quite blonde with highlights to hide the grey.
97. I am 5’ 3” tall approx.
98. My friends think I’m funny if a little strange.
99. I am not a very feminine female despite having the curves.
